Dr. Peter Capizzi Plastic Surgery Just another WordPress weblog 2009-09-02T21:12:01Z WordPress http://www.stillwaterplasticsurgery.com/dr-peter-capizzi/?feed=atom admin <![CDATA[Gummy Bear Implant Available]]> http://www.stillwaterplasticsurgery.com/dr-peter-capizzi/?p=1 2009-06-09T15:45:56Z 2009-05-22T21:04:05Z I am excited to introduce the Center for Breast and Body Contouring portion of my practice, Peter Capizzi, M.D. of Stillwater Plastic Surgery, P.A. to Southpark, in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am currently the sole investigator for the 410 IDE form stable cohesive gel breast implants or gummy bear implants. For over three years, we have been involved in this study and feel that this more cohesive gel implant represents that next advancement available to women for breast augmentation, secondary breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, and for cosmetic breast surgery for weight loss patients.

Because of our experience with silicone gel and saline breast implants, we have been able to see the advancements made with the new gel implants. This gel implant ripples less, is more stable, and shaped like a breast (teardrop). It is textured and seems more likely to remain in place and be less susceptible to gravity over time. With over 100 different shapes and sizes, the gummy bear gel implant can be tailored to an individual breast and allow for symmetry and a better fit.

Our Breast and Body Contouring Center is very active in providing leadership with the use of gel or saline implants to both implant manufacturers
