EYELID SURGERY
Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, can wake up tired-looking eyes, giving you a dramatically fresher, more vibrant look. This popular cosmetic procedure corrects the drooping upper eyelids and puffy bags below the eyes by removing excess fat, skin, and muscle.
Eyelid surgery is performed at an outpatient surgery center or in a hospital under general anesthesia. Patients return home with steri-strips across incisions, and sutures are removed five to seven days later. Bruising and swelling generally resolve within a few days.
