BOTOX is a temporary muscle relaxer that has become the most commonly injected agent in cosmetics. It is most commonly used to temporarily smooth lines on the forehead, brow, crow’s feet, and around the lips. BOTOX is also used to treat excessive sweating of the underarms, hands, and feet. Treatments usually take just a few minutes and can last three to four months. Each treatment is tailored to your needs and provides results without downtime.
Stillwater Plastic Surgery, P.A. and Dr. Peter Capizzi have been injecting Botox for years. Peter Capizzi, M.D., an Allergan Roundtable Instructor for Injections, has the experience to provide excellent results with Botox. How skin ages and wrinkles is a complex process. After many years of wrinkling, lines start to linger longer and become more pronounced. Especially in women, whose skin is more delicate, these lines may appear more exaggerated. Botox can visibly smooth and soften moderate to severe lines, in both men and women.
Botox is the most common injectable worldwide and in our busy cosmetic practice. It is predictable and safe. The most common uses are to improve forehead lines, crow’s feet, lines around the mouth. It can be used with fillers (Juvederm and Restylane) and can also relieve sweating of the underarms, hands, and feet.
Our office offers injections by Dr. Capizzi, and 2 RN’s (Nurse Injectors) with many years of experience in our full skin care department. The appointment availability is within days. With one simple 10 minute treatment, results usually are seen within 3-5 days and always by 2 weeks, and the improvement lasts 3-4 months. Botox is also used in combination with fillers to enhance and lengthen the effect of the filler.
Being treated with Botox is an easy and moderately priced way to improve your appearance noticeably, and was the most popular cosmetic procedure in the United States for the fourth year in a row. Come in soon for a treatment with the new "Vitamin B".
Juvéderm Ultra and Juvéderm Ultra Plus are the most commonly used hyaluronic acid fillers at Stillwater Plastic Surgery. These fillers are usually used to smooth cheek folds, lips, tear troughs, depressed scars, and to build up areas of the face where volume has been lost. The results of Juvéderm Ultra Plus can last up to one year, making it the longest lasting hyaluronic acid filler with the softest consistency.
Following the application of a topical anesthetic, the filler is injected to areas where change is desired. Two to three syringes of filler are usually used for average facial concerns. Results can be seen immediately following treatment. The skill and experience of the injector is critical in achieving the desired result.
Radiesse is calcium hydroxyapetite kernels covered with an absorbable carboxymethylcellulose gel. This filler can provide results that last for one to two years for cheek folds and hand wrinkles.
